A Florida Sunset is like the end of School

There is nothing like a Florida sunset. Sitting in a chair or in the sand watching the sun dissapear over the horizon. It is just like watching all of your friends pack up and leave for home. They both can be sad maybe a little joyful but you always know they will come back.

Gonna miss my friends just like I miss the Florida sunset.

Poem- Footprints in the Sand

I've always liked this poem!

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticedthat during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering fromanguish, sorrow or defeat,I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord,“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you,you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my lifethere have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,is when I carried you.”

Weather comparisons

Thinking about Florida and wishing I was there. The weather here is rainy and cloudy but in Florida its all sunshine! In Jacksonville the lowest the weather is this week is 62 degrees. In Maryville the lowest it will get this week is 41 degrees. That is over a 20 degree difference! I'm ready for the weather to be that nice here!

Boat Safety

On cruise ships they have many safety procedures. Before leaving the dock the staff makes everyone go to the specific life boat that each person is designated too. In the room before going to your safety boat you must find and put on your life jackets. After everyone finds where they need to be the captain comes over the intercom and says exactly what you need to do if the boat did have difficulties.

Cruise experience

Going back to my senior year in high school on Spring break, my first cruise trip ever.

What really got me pumped up, is when I was in a Taxi pulling up to the boats. I thought I looked so tiny! Everything around you is huge. Looking around I saw many people and couldnt help but notice how different everyone was. You could see the familys, friends, and newlyweds. Standing in line to actually board the ship takes a while but I didnt mind. Does anyone have a cruise experience? Please Share!

How Long?

I was sitting around thinking about how long is the longest cruise? The longest cruise I found on http://www.cruise.com/cs/forms/cruiseresultsPage.aspx?skin=1&CD=34&DF=9/1/2010&CL=10%7C999&Phone=800-300-4804&Ref=BS was 103 days! How crazy would it be to stay on a cruise ship for that long? The cruise name was Regent Seven Seas-Seven Seas Navigator and it travels to 58 different places!! I just thought that would be an amazing trip. Think about all the places you would see! What an experience that would be. The total cost for one person is $53,087. If I had the money and the time I would jump on that opportunity. Would you?

Best Vacation EVER!

My Vacation to Florida was amazing! The first night we stayed in Jacksonville and went to a place that people called the "creek."The next morning we woke up early and headed 6 hours down the coast to Key Largo. This was the view from the boat we were staying on.
The third day we woke up and drove about an hour and 45 minutes to Key West. The beach was pretty empty. In the picture it doesn't look like a nice day but it actually got better as the day went on. After laying out on the beach, sight seeing, and shopping we drove back to Key Largo for the night.

The Fourth day was the ultimate best day. We drove about 2 hours to arrive in Miami. The weather was amazing and the people were super friendly. My friends and I probably got asked if we were on spring break a hundred times! We stayed in Miami til we were too tired to do anything else and drove back to Key Largo.
The fifth day was FULL of surprises. We drove about an hour and 30 minutes to the Everglades National Park and saw all sorts of wild life. We also brought camping gear and stayed the night! The mosquitoes were horrible but it was an overall great time.

The sixth day we packed up all of our camping equipment and drove 2 hours north to Fort Lauderdale. We layed out then found a hotel and had a crazy time!

The next morning we headed back to Jacksonville and had an amazing dinner and went to bed. Our flight the final morning was at 8am so we had to wake up super early and fly out and say goodbye to Florida.
I would highly recommend if you ever go to Florida or any where for that matter, travel around as much as possible!! This trip we drove around 1,400 miles and it was COMPLETELY worth it. Every place we went had something special and I wouldn't change a thing!
